About 30 km away from Berat, emanating for the Tomorri mountain there is this gem hidden in an area where time seems to have frozen. Passing through remote village houses where nature has taken over you are going to witness first hand how people used to live around here. From far away this onflow of water keeps getting closer. And there it is!
As if the beauty of the mountain isn’t enough, we have an additional beauty that nature has gifted us with. It´s the Becka waterfall also known as the Sotira waterfall. The magic and the combination of the elements of water earth and air is what makes this place unique.

What to Expect
First of all for all the off-road lovers, you are not going to be disappointed.
1:30 hour of off-road is going to take to the start of the journey.
From the spring of Mother Tariko,the 2:30 hours of hike are going to get you through the remote village to the majestic waterfall.
Tired from the hike u are going to get your strength back from the picnic with local products at a balcony in front of the waterfall. After that you are going to take another route to get back to the 4x4 cars in about 3 hours witnessing 2 beautiful lakes.
The unprecedented landscapes are going to stick with you all the way along the trip. At about 5-6 pm you are going to be back in the city of Berat.
Things You Should Bring on the Hike
- Backpack
- Appropriate footwear. Hiking shoes;
- Sun cream, sun glasses and an hat;
- Camera;
- BONUS: Trash Bag. This 7th piece of gear is essential to making sure that the trails you love stay beautiful for generations to come. A zip lock bag is a great option as well for keeping the trash you pick up along the trail separate from the rest of your gear.

Not Included
Everything that it is not mention on the scheduled trip is not included, such as: coffee, other kind of drinks or other foods. Although you are going to feel like tipping the guides at the end of a beautiful trip, we don’t want you pulling out the wallet every minute.
Meeting point – Hotel Castle Park, Berat. We can come and pick you up in any hotel or guest house in Berat.
SUV trip to the village of Qafe Dardhe (about 1 hour). The hiking tour lasts around 2 hours and it is available to everyone (no professional skills are required). After visiting the Sotire waterfall we will have a picnic lunch with local products. Than we will hike down and visit a local family in the Qaf Dardhe village.
