The Italian newspaper Corriere della sera promotes Albania

1085 kilometers and 4 UNESCO sites in 15 days. These are the bike route figures in one of the wildest and least known places in Europe.

This is how the prestigious Italian Corriere della Sera begins its article, which has devoted a long report to Albania, mainly the southern one, seen from a bicycle on what is designated as the UNESCO Cycling Route.

While inviting the readers to visit Albania, the author points out that by bicycle he travels unhurriedly on the road between the wildlands where peaks, valleys, vineyards and ancient villages hanging on the slopes of the mountains follow each other, but also monasteries and castles with a view from the sea and historic cities, where time seems to have stopped.

The adventure starts precisely from Tirana, which is considered the noisy capital of the Land of Eagles, and for two weeks it continues in a part of central Albania, in the southeast along the shores of the oldest and deepest lake on the continent, Ohrid, and for further south in Albania, on the banks of the last wild river in Europe, the Vjosa.

In addition to the natural beauties, the author emphasizes that during such a trip, everyone has the opportunity to get to know cities with thousands of years of history declared world heritage by UNESCO, priceless archaeological sites, pristine beaches, secret bays and castles overlooking the sea.

The southern coast has received a lot of attention, starting from Saranda and continuing with Himara, Dhërmi, Vlora and up to Divjakë, where in addition to the blue sea you can also enjoy the beauty of ancient villages, monasteries overlooking the sea, but also hospitality like in the old days.

Of course, in addition to the natural beauties and not only, tourists in these areas can also enjoy the gastronomy, which is considered excellent in the article.

It is not for nothing that the article emphasizes that Albania is also listed by the New York Times as one of the 52 main destinations to be visited by vacationers during 2023.

Also, the British media giant BBC has started broadcasting a series of reports dedicated to the beauties of Albania.

Thank you to the reporter Francesca Masotti for the beautiful article .
